'80s Metal History (November 12th)

K-Tel released an actual all-metal compilation titled "Rising Metal" in 1988 featuring Death Angel, Slayer, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Megadeth, Exodus, Flotsam And Jetsam, Testament, Trouble and Heathen... By golly, they figured it out. 🤘
Autumn 1989: Ozzy Osbourne was struggling with his inner demons and sounded off to Kerrang! "I'm still not sane now." He also said he would "never rejoin Black Sabbath. Not in this life or the next..." 😏
November 12, 2016: Calling it a day after their "40 And Fuck It Tour", Twisted Sister performed their maybe final concert ever in Monterrey, Mexico. “You always remember your last. Gracias Monterey!” -Dee Snider
November 12, 1986: After five shows at London's Hammersmith Odeon, Iron Maiden hit the rest of Europe on the "Somewhere In Time" Tour with W.A.S.P. in tow, starting in Helsinki.
November 12, 1981: Mötley Crüe played their first show since releasing their debut album "Too Fast For Love" on their own Leathür Records label at The Roxy in Los Angeles with special guest Dokken.
Happy Birthday to former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson (November 12, 1964).
Early November 1977: KISS released "Alive II" in North America (December 9th in the UK) with a gatefold that really excited this 10-year-old (me). Recorded mostly in late August at the Forum in Los Angeles on the "Love Gun" Tour, the double LP is one of their best-selling.

Krokus released their 11th studio album "Stampede" in 1990, their first since 1978 not to feature Marc Storace on lead vocals. He was replaced by Peter Tanner (Swiss bands: Witchcraft, Bloody Six and Headhunter).
November 12, 1989: With special guest Toxik, King Diamond brought the "Conspiracy" Tour to Le Spectrum in Montreal.
Recorded almost two years earlier, "One Live Night" by a reunited Dokken was released in North America in 1996. The semi-acoustic live album includes unplugged versions of "Tooth And Nail", "Into The Fire" and "Alone Again".
November 12, 2021: Continuing with a darker lyrical tone, L.A. Guns released their 16th studio album "Checkered Past" featuring single "Better Than You". Release date source: Blabbermouth.net - September 16, 2021.
