December 27, 1985: Metallica completed recording their third studio album "Master Of Puppets" at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lars Ulrich was in talks with Rush's Geddy Lee to produce the album, "but it just never came together." -Lee
December 1983: Quiet Riot released "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" in North America as the second single from their debut album, that became a little more popular in February 1984 when Kevin Bacon cranked it up in the film "Footloose". December 1986: Drummer Dave Lombardo left Slayer the first of three times saying he was tired of life on the road and wanted to spend more time with his wife, who actually convinced him to return to the band less than a year later ❤️
Remembering producer/engineer Martin Birch [Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Rainbow and many more], who would have celebrated a birthday today (December 27, 1948). Martin died in 2020. R.I.P.
Happy Birthday to Alcatrazz bassist Gary Shea (December 27, 1950), who also played in the band Warrior with guitarist Vinnie Vincent before Vinnie joined KISS in 1983.

December 27, 1989: Skid Row's Sebastian Bach was charged with "assault, assault and battery and mayhem" at a show in Springfield, Massachusetts after someone threw a plastic bottle that hit the singer and led to Bach jumping into the crowd 😯
