September 16, 1988: Anthrax released their fourth studio album "State Of Euphoria" in North America (the same week in the UK) featuring singles "Make Me Laugh" (critical of Jim and Tammy Fae Bakker and televangelism in general) and Trust cover "Antisocial".

September 16, 1987: W.A.S.P. released their first live album "Live...In the Raw" in North America (the same week in the UK) featuring the song "Harder Faster" written about the "sexual perverts" at the PMRC. The studio song "Scream Until You Like It" was also included on this LP.

September 16, 1985: KISS released their 13th studio album "Asylum" in North America (one week later in the UK), a continuation of the glam rock sound of previous LP "Animalize" and the first with lead guitarist Bruce Kulick as an official band member.

September 1983: "Guns For Hire", the first single from the latest AC/DC album "Flick Of The Switch", was receiving heavy airplay on American rock radio and about to hit the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The band opened each show with the song on the "Flick Of The Switch" World Tour.
September 1989: Featuring former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee, Badlands released the Zeppelin-like "Winter's Call" as the follow up single to US Top 40 rock hit "Dreams In The Dark" from their self-titled debut album. The Hard Report radio trade publication ad - September 15, 1989
Touring with Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus and more, Bay area thrash band Lääz Rockit released their third studio album "Know Your Enemy" in the fall of 1987 featuring the song "Last Breath".
